With decades of education experience in a variety of contexts (including public/private, day/boarding, American/international, university/secondary schooling, formal/informal), I continue to put my PhD in service of educational and writing practices that challenge business as usual.

My research has led me to ask what would happen if we let the concepts we wonder about drive the process of learning. I’ve never been a fan of applying pedagogical techniques to deliver curriculum nor a canned, one-size-fits-all understanding of what educators, students, or writers need.

A More-Than Education is a premium and fully customized approach to what you want to make it. You teach me, and I collaborate with you to help bridge what you are wrestling with and the tools and resources at our disposal to bring innovative approaches to understanding, engaging, and writing our world.

In true Rancierian (one of my favorite educators) fashion of “attending to a thing in common”, together we ask: “What do I think?”, “How do I know?”, and “What might it mean?” as we seek to bridge our experiences with our broader commitments in education and writing.
